No rethinking here, 1985 when me and my husband bought our place it was a campground we pulled our camper in and it was a campground. Next time before you buy something check with the town and see what the regulations are. Bigger camper will make more people try and live in the community and that's not what i want and from the looks of it the town. From reading it seems like eagle lake may be a better fit for you and others. You should look into a place that meets your needs not try and change one to meet them.

I agree with the PO from 1985. This campground had to go through a planning board review just like everything else and it seems like some are trying to change the agreement after the fact. I would personally like to see the BOD display the original agreed upon site plan for LACA which is enforcable going forth and watch the reactions of those who have chosen to look the other way over the years. I have said before and I will say again, we were allowed to police ourselves over the years with our own compliance officer and apparently very little oversight from the Town until recently. We were extended a courtesy of sorts by being able to police ourselves and we failed. Just with anything else in life if you fail to follow the rules you pay a price for it. Why do you think our attorney is not running to court with this. Because she and the BOD know that our case is a loser. Hang on to your hats folks. And rather than bash or attack me ask to have the BOD openly display our site plan agreement at the annual meeting and let the facts speak for themselves.

LA is a campground and an RV 360 sq. meets the requirement. As I said, I agree in part with you, as I have seen more and more what appear to be miniature houses instead of RVs. I bought my RV used & property a few years back & it was already placed on the pad. According to the rules I was given, it was legally placed. I doubt that LA would lose in a court of law, since the ords. that were recently passed are illegal on many counts, by Pa. law & federal. If the township wants to go after oversized mobile homes in our campground they could legally do so without having to pass new ords. & it would be a done deal, insted of all these meetings with our reps. & attorney. In closing I will say I tend to agree with you, that some may "have looked the other way" but to think as a campground we are limited to 300 sq. is not true. I'll say it again, a 360 sq. is an RV, 400+ sq. is not. From looking around, I'd say I've seen several that are over 400 sq. & don't belong in a campground.
