While some are doing a nice job landscaping I have to agree with you on some points about going overboard. I've seen places with hundreds of lawn ornaments and a place covered with plastic florescent colored flowers. It's distracting to adjacent property owners and unattractive to the general public. I believe such decor is against the bylaws. I guess if you live next door to it and don't discuss it with your neighbor then you can't complain about it. I know it would be an awkward situation but there should be some room for compromise. Those I was talking about are power washing and refurbishing their decks and sheds, cutting down weeds and cleaning up leaves. I also come to LA to be in the woods and I'd like it to stay that way.
I saw that driveway with the bricks you referred to. If not the same one, then there are 2 of them. Not only that, but the one I saw also has a blacktop ramp/pad up to the bricks. Absolutely
against LAs by-laws and local ordinance (legal one) that pertains to our campground. I'd like to know where are LAs officials that have allowed this. How did whoever did the work be allowed to enter the property with non-conforming material and lay down the bricks and blacktop w/o being stopped. If I had any say I'd have them rip out the driveway and blacktop. Why are we looking for more problems with the township, especially when they have a legal foot to stand on with this violation.
