I AGREE WITH DAVE. IT WAS UNFORTUNATE THAT OPEN MIKE NIGHT WAS CANCELLED. WE LOVE KARAOKE NIGHT AND BY ATTENDING THE LAST SEVERAL,I HAVE COME TO REALIZE THAT LACA DOES HAVE MANY TALENTED SINGERS,SO I AM SURE THE MUSICIANS AND COMEDIANS ARE OUT THERE ALSO. I HOPE WE WILL GET A CHANCE TO SEE THIS.LET'S GIVE KUDOS TO THE DJ'S ALSO. THEY NEED LACA SUPPORT TO KEEP THE GOOD TIMES GOING FOR ALL OF US WHETHER YOU ENJOY DANCING, KARAOKE OR JUST LISTENING TO YOUR FAVORITE SONG. AFTER ALL TO KEEP A CROWD INTERESTED IS WORK. I'M REALLY NOT SURE WHO PUTS ALL THE ACTIVITES TOGETHER BUT THEY NEED TO GET CREDIT ALSO. IT CAN'T BE EASY TRYING TO PLEASE EVERYONE! WE HAVE BEEN HERE 2 YEARS AND LOVE LA. SO PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD AND COME TO THE CLUB HOUSE FOR SOME FUN!!!

anon -- your right, the karaoke night was a blast -- everyone had fun -- i really thought the youngsters were great --- we need more nights like this -- friday evenings are not days that have a lot scheduled and this would be idea entertainment to get the weekend going--- open mike should be rescheduled with more advance notice of the date advertised -- unfortunately most people pick up an activity schedule when the drive through the gate on a friday and get the weekly flyer--- more aggressive advertising and promotion needs to be done for people to get these activities in front of them -- announcement boards at the clubhouse would be good, developing an email list of members to be notified in advance on upcoming special activities --- many special events that were scheduled this season had very little participation because no one knew about them -- the weekly flyer is not enough, and more active promotion is necessary with facilitators to run the activities -- some that come to mind are the pickup sports games and the boat races which had so so results or no participation such as the boat races and the open mike non event --- it takes more than an announcement to get people engaged and to turn out for the events -- hopefully more events will be scheduled this season and again next season with the idea of having in place a better way to promote and get people to engage and participate in the various activities that had poor results this season -- bingo, a few dances and ceramics doesn't do it -- need more!!!!! -- chipper
